A farmer had three sons. They always quarrelled with one another. He advised them not to quarrel but they would not listen him. This pained him very much.
One day he fell seriously ill. He sent for his sons.When they came, he asked them to bring some sticks. He tied the sticks into a bundle. He then asked them to break the bundle. They tried one by one but failed. The farmer then united the bundle. He gave one stick to each of them to break. Each broke the stick very easily. He he then advised them that, if they were united like the sticks, no one would harm them.
They acted upon his advise anD lived peacefully.
MORAL: UNION IS STRENGTH
